The very first floors used in interior construction consisted of the ground itself. In some cases, hay or straw was used to soften this surface and make it slightly warmer in the winter. Ancient families would even drop trash directly on the floor and then walk over it to compress it down into a solid surface coating. Thankfully we have come a long way since then! Internally and externally you can find various products and finishes here at The Home Hub.
What you choose as your floor covering depends on your budget, how much endurance it will be under with the footfall for that area, whether you need noise insulation and obviously the comfort of those using it. Find your perfect flooring solution at our Little Common showroom. Whatever the room or your budget we have the floor for you!
Internal floor covering
What floor covering are you looking at using for your home or commercial project? Ask our experts at The Home Hub who will be happy to go through all the flooring options available to you and find the right solution for your project.
Whether it be:
- Engineered flooring
- Laminate flooring
- Tiled / Stone flooring
- Karndean flooring
- Aqua safe flooring
- Porcelain paving which is formed by baking a mixture of clay, sand and other minerals then baked at a high-temperature. This makes this product incredibly durable and non-porous. Being resistant to water absorption makes this method for internal floor covering low maintenance. This can be used both inside and outside, perfect for when you want to bring the outside in!
We have many of these in our showroom. It is important that the right build up and installation products are used with the finishes mentioned above. We are happy to guide you through these and show some examples that we may have on display.
